Hope you get to go, I really like going out there. This past weekend, we (me and my 12 yr old daughter) said would be our last until next spring. But when we were done and warm, we looked at each other, and said the same thing, "when can we go back out and what do we think the temps would be come mid Dec."

Thanks for the info. If you change your mind and come, we'll be there at 9...

I am planning to be there this Saturday. I will call down there and make sure I/we can get in, and will post back here. I was also there last Saturday and was told about the same thing as tddlemming stated about opening for shops and 4 or more people.

Thanks for the info, look us up when you get there.

Andy

I have a cave cert, if it's going to be fresh water it's at least going to be fun.:D There is only one rat you out guy and he has laid low since he threw Kevin under the bus.

I think I've convinced some of our crew to go full cave during the winter. I know you get lonely down there...

BTW, if you need help on the boat modifications, please call me. I may be able to give you some time on the weekends.

First, good luck on the U-85 dive! I'm thinking it might be a little "sporty" this weekend, but, hey, ya never know.

I confirmed with Rawlings they are open at 9:00 AM this Saturday. Look for a dark green Ford Expedition with "RAD Diver" on the Virginia license plate parked near the entry point.

We should have four guys in dry suits with tech gear. I'll be wearing the orange one and carrying a camera.

Look for us...

THANKS..

Andy

I like "sporty" diving. More hot dogs for me on the SI.:D

I talked with Dale Lynn last night and additionally got email reply from Errol confirming they will be open. (Errol said 8am)

I should see you there. I will be driving a little white Dodge.

I look forward to meeting you as I have admired your video's for a while!

GotBail - good luck on the U-85! If you get blown out come on back to the Quarry!

Just like the U-85/Outer Banks only DIFFERENT! lol

Let me know when you guys go to get cave trained I may tag along. I just got a new enclosed trailer for gear. I think the seas should be nice this weekend if the report holds, I will be out in my buddy's boat......I hate little boats under 30ft but I just hauled mine so have no choice. I have 4-5 months to do all the work I have planned, you can come supervise and check out the new diver lift. They should install one on the dock at lake rawlings. :rofl3:

You did get confirmation that they will be open at 8??? I think we have changed our minds. Did he mention that any of us would need to call or just show up???

We have been trying to get pictures of color under water. This will be our 4th try. Me and cameras don't mix on land let alone UW. I have flooded a decent camera. Have since went to cheaper ones. This is for my daughters science project.

We will be the 2 females, one adult and one kid out there driving a red pick up.

Thanks Mark....the boats' still a go for tomorrow morning making a run to the CG Cutter Jackson wreck. Seas are forecast to be decent albeit with a tad cool air temp in the morning, which means I'll be diving dry.:cool2:

Was nice seeing every buddy out there, Drewski must be color blind as my Expedition is Silver, but the tags he got right at least.

Water temp not too bad at 62 top to bottom, was a layer about 2 ft off the bottom that was probably cooler, but hard to stay there long enough for my computer or Bottom Timer to re set.

Vis was probably 20ft with a few clouds floating by.
