We had the same type of thing happen at LCBR. There wasn't anymore of a particular pie and the dessert chef heard us raving about how great it was. The next meal he presented our group with their own pie! You can't beat service like that!
 
I think it is a Cayman trait, their cooking the dishes that we as visitors talk about. Several years ago on Brac, at the old Buccaneer Inn on the North side, now that is showing my age, the cooks heard that it was my daughter's 16th birthday and not only cooked a huge cake for her but put on a big spread for the rest of us. Again as Brac Reef, for a couples wedding anniversary, they fixed us a cake with all the trimmings, and another time at a different place on Brac they cooked a cake for our daughter's birthday. They just love to 'do for us', that is the kind of people they are and that is what makes me want to go back again and again.....
