On the National Weather service map you can zoom in on your site, click and get a more localized forecast.

With the buoys, you can see if there is a storm swell and wind coming up and get an idea how long before it trashes your site.

Click on any of the parameters and you get a graph of the change over the last few days, hour by hour. Below is wave height from a buoy. Not all buoys will give all this information, it depends on who put them out there for what.
