LED lights up to 90 watts?

I was reading about some FA & Mi lights that say they get 18 hours or runtime from 4 AA batteries in an 18 watt light. That sounded way off to me. The site also mentions lights that are up to 90 watts for an array of 6 LEDs. Perhaps they mean "equivalent light", not actual power usage ...but "equivalent" to what". Their runtimes don't match the power output numbers.

I think within that 18 hrs, the first 6 hrs the light might be able to maintain > 50% full bringhtness, according to the thread. What do you think? Probably there is no current regulator?
