I just don't log dives
Last week i did a boat dive with a group of 5.we hooked our lines on the anchor chain.we were looking for fosils. I came back to anchor in about 25' with about 500lbs. Unhooked checked above and swam to to top.here starts the problem.came up within 6 to 10 feet could not get higher.um?so i go back down figure i found a lot of bones and i need a lttle push from my b.c.up again same thing now i feel tugging on my back. Finds a line wraped around my 1st stage.at this point i can see the back of mates head .i started to cut the line but decided not to because i thuoght i could pull my self up the anchor chain that last few feet. By thetime i'd broke the top i was out of air.lesson learned cut the line.it was like driveing on a trip and comeing home to have a head on in front of your house

What is it?my time spent fooling around with the line i burned a ton of air....

500 lbs point well taken. To do a shore dive i would head back with a half or a third but as i was 250 feet from boat and conditionds were calm i felt that was plenty.lesson learned watch my air.thanx scott
