Camera Newbie here...

My wife wants to get a camera with a 6-8 fps burst but as I understand it flashes/strobes do not operate this quickly. Is there a practical way to light subjects in the burst mode or should the burst mode not play a factor in her selection of camera (at least from an underwater photo taking perspective)?

Thanks!

:D

You might also be able to get by with some video lights, they can produce alot of light and depending on shutter speed, they might work for your application. I do not have any experience with video lights however.

Just out of curiosity, what are you planning to do with burst mode while diving? I have enjoyed using burst mode in some applications above water, but I have not heard of using it while diving other than trying the "machine gun" technique.

A Hartenberger HS250 Digital will recycle in 0.3 seconds (when full power is used)
With less power it's faster
