lobster thoughts??

what are the thoughts on this years lobster season?
mild winter....higher then normal temps?
bugs in early?
stay longer?
more/less?
thoughts???

I think they will be in early this year, and I'm ready. I also think more lobsters than usual held over this winter. I've seen lobsters on nearly every dive this winter.

Guys that trap in the Canal have been doing well all winter......I personally did NOT have a good BUG year last year!

Though I don't think there will be more.... I think there is the potential for them to come in earlier. Water temps were 42 this weekend (unusually high for this time) and I did notice quite a few bugs but I was deeper too...

So at what temps or time of year do the bugs come in?

Have caught some at the end of this month.....But not as good as the water warms

Low 50's, look for a good thermocline to develop

45F at Back Beach yesterday - didn't see one lobster in 3 dives.
