I did not know Mike, however he grew up one town away from me. This is truly sad as he was crushed by a miscommunication from a machinery operator. This is why its so bothersome when people go with the lowest bidder and why it is imperative to uphold a strong committment to exceeding industry standards on an as needed basis. He was innitialy brushed by the machinery but when the operator reacted in the wrong manner it crushed Mike. This goes to prove that situational awareness by all members on a dive station is imperative and this could have been avoided.. SHOULD HAVE been avoided. Hopefully through tragedy will come change. God Bless you and your family Mike.
