I'm curious about what the statistics are for how long DCS symptoms last on the average.

ie What percentage of people who have had DCS serious enough to go into a chamber still have symptoms after 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month etc?

Anyone aware of these figures?

Hello Readers:

I do not actually have any figures to answer your question. However, I believe that you will find that the length of duration of any residual DCS is strongly dependent on the length of time between the appearance of a problem and the later time of treatment (recompression). In some cases,e.g. with neurological DCS, if that duration is too long (day or more), there may never be complete recovery.
