looking for coz dive operator

We are planning a trip for 4 for Sept and looking for a good dive operator in Cozumel.

here are our requirements:

fast 6 pack boat with shade
will pick up/drop off at hotel cozumel dock
no marina stop
2 morning and 1 pm dives/day for 5-6 days


are we asking for too much? in the past we have not been able to find one who can meet these simple requirements....

Here is a recent post about one tank afternoon dive with Aldora. You may need to take a taxi downtown if they go north. Or with four people ask to see if they can go south (I would be inclined to go north).

You could pick any of the top 35-45 dive ops from:

And the majority could meet your requirements.

Popular ones here are: Aldora, Blue XTSea, Dive with Martin, Liquid Blue, Blue Angel, Tres Pelicanos etc etc.

Check out the May/June/April trip threads and see what ops are preferred and go from there. Can't go wrong that way.

I don't know... wanting a 6 pack seems pretty limiting on who they can pick. That is why not many ops can meet the "simple requirements". Seems like most ops, including most of the ones you mentioned, take out 8 on a boat.

I do not know what others do but here is what Aldora states on their website:

"Most of the small boat operators will take 8 divers per boat. It is our opinion that any more than 6 divers makes it unsafe, or at least uncomfortable, to do the wonderful swimthroughs that make Cozumel so special - with the 7th and 8th divers seeing little more than kicked up silt. At Aldora we limit dive group size to a maximum of 6, and there can be a big difference in the dive quality between an operator who has groups of 8 and those with 6. Our average load is 4 divers and we always, always make sure that all divers in the group have similar skills and interests."
