Norwegian drowns
A NORWEGIAN tourist drowned while diving in Cebu on Christmas Eve.

Knut Aksel Isaksen was declared dead on arrival at the Daan Bantayan District Hospital.

Fellow divers retrieved Isaksen off Malapascua Island in Daan Bantayan town, said Police Regional Office 7 director Chief Supt. Lani-o R. Nerez.

“An initial post-mortem examination revealed that the cause of his death is drowning,” said Nerez.

Nerez said the victim and three other foreigners were diving in the Monad Shoal in Malapascua Island when he drowned at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Very sad news.

Deepest sympathies to friends and relatives of Aksel Isaksen.

Very sad indeed... By the way, his name was Knut Aksel Isaksen. Family and friends have created a facebook group in his memory (Norwegian).
