Sipadan east of Borneo is great for big schools of barracuda and jacks, not to mention all the white tip reef sharks and the turtles. I have many hours of great video from scuba diving there. A few samples in Windows Media format:

Kapalai is close to Sipadan, but is very different. It's heaven for the MACRO photographer. Have some shots on my website.

The Similan Islands northwest of Phuket, Thailand is nice. Going north to Richelieu Rock on a liveaboard with Scandinavian Divers I saw whaleshark 6 times at close range. Once the 10 meter long fish came straight at my dive buddy and I with it's 1,5 meter wide open mouth. Phuhh, what a feeling!
