Maldives North atolls in August?

I'm looking at a 10 night livaboard on the Maldives northern atolls route in August (starting Aug 10th); can anyone please advise on visibility & general weather conditions? ( I.e. does it rain a lot?). Thanks.

I've done a few trips in July and August and have generally had decent weather. The closer you get to Sept, the higher the chances of wind and rain.
