I posted the following to the Mares forum but apparently it needs to be approved by Mares before it becomes visible to the forum community. I'm not personally convinced that they will ever approve the post..... I'll repeat the post here for anyone interested in Mares guaranty service.....

The short story is that Mares is slow to respond to guaranty repairs. The reasons for this are unclear but customers, some of whom have spent considerable amounts of money on their products, are clearly disadvantaged by this. I'll be happy to amend this position if Mares explains the reasons why delays in guaranty repairs are necessary.

On the short term, I need a repair and I'm unwilling to accept further uncommunicated/unexplained delays.

============

I recently bought a Mares XR suit. It fits and it feels fantastic.

However, the vent on the arm is broken/malfunctioning. It let several liters of water into the suit even when the valve was completely screwed shut. I was soaking wet throughout my torso and right down to my balls from a 20 minute dive.

I sent it back for repairs but Mares is dragging its feet. It's been several weeks now and Mares has made no effort whatsoever to evaluate OR fix the problem!

This is a €1600 drysuit. I expect better guaranty service than this!

Explain this unnecessary and highly inappropriate delay please!

The post in Mares forum shows up for me, at least in the 'New Posts' tab.

Anyhow, that sucks - hope Mares sort your suit valve out soon.
