1 millimeter is 10th of a centimeter

10mm * 10mm * 10mm = 1000 cubic millimeters in 1 cubic centimeter

A cubic millimeter is 1000 times smaller than a milliliter

Yes, one milliliter = one cubic centimeter. Most of the burettes that I use are scaled in centimeters.
