Dates: May 18- 20 201 (Fri- Sun) Dive the Oriskany on 19th- but read on.
Dives: Sat 19 May= private charter, 4 hours on site. 3x rec dives, 2x tec dives. OUTSTANDING!
Location: Based out of AL, 2 hour trip to the Oriskany on a cracking 46' swept-up dive vessel, a Newton dive special.

• Deploy to Alabama on Friday car pooling, crash at a hotel for the night.
• Dive the epic Oriskany Saturday and afterwards have dinner, cold oat sodas and hotel that evening.
• Return Sunday morning (those who wish can continue diving, of course).
• Monday get on SB and tell everyone how great it was and that they should have been there!
• PLUS of course there is the option to depart back home after diving the O, should you wish.

Temps around 60 degrees or so I am led to expect.

Dive details

• All Divers Diving the Oriskany must be Advanced Openwater certified, have dive computers, and have 20 logged dives.\
• USS Oriskany Rec Dives 2 or 3x dives, no deco/130' Max Depth. Cost per Diver: $199 (MAX. The more divers the cheaper it is= that's $66.33 a dive! On the Oriskany!)
• USS Oriskany Tec dives, 2x dive! Per Diver: BARGAIN at $199 (again Max- the more divers..... you know how that works)
• Boat ride out and return is around two hours ea way depending on conditions.
• Boat departs at 8 am on Oriskany Trips

Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Diving, Oriskany Dive - Down Under Dive Shop

Hotel and gas should be less than 200 if sharing/ carpooling.

Holy Moly! Flat calm seas, not another boat on the wreck, outstanding visibility and, the crowning achievement- a night dive on the O. True night, splash started at 9:00 PM or thereabouts. Boat full of top chaps (self excluded, of course). A good mix of recreational and technical divers with something for everyone. Bloody marvellous trip. Planning another for late August Same sort of format as I have no intention of reinventing this particular wheel. Taking indications of interest, no need to commit yet, just indications.
