Well,... I'll be heading home in a couple of hours. Not a very good trip overall, as I did not accomplish my goal. Am I finished? Well,.... for this trip, yes, I am. I will be back, probably after the first of the year to try again. I got a little further, but still not quite there. There were good times & highlights, for sure, but the las dive was a complete disaster & put the nail in the coffin for this trip. The first 3 days down here in FL, I did some intro level dives with a full cave diver, those went off pretty smoothly & really helped my confidence. When it came time to work on my full cave with the instructor & another student,...... not so smooth (good thing he is such a patient soul). The biggest issue in, my case, is I am over- anticipating the problems the instructor will throw at me & in doing so, creating problems that aren't there. More time to practice get better......

Hang in there Tammy. You'll get there. It's very refreshing to see a tech instructor who will not pass a student until they are ready. When you get there, you'll know you've EARNED IT!

You are 100% correct Jim. The long, lone drive home gave me plenty of thinking time. I really needed that. This minor, temporary set back has helped to drive home the true seriousness of the sport. Not that I ever took it lightly, but it just helped to make it more real.
