Anyone going to this? Sounds like an interesting weekend.

Athens Scuba Park Inc., Bought a Beechcraft 125-600 Jet to sink for training rescue, search and recovery, and heavy lift classes, as well as recreational divers to explore.
The $30,000.00 endeavor took 12 weeks to have hauled in, and reassembly to make ready for the sinking, IE ( decontamination), all fuel, oil lines were removed, as well as electric wiring, and any hazards to the divers using it for training, like door latches, doors, sharp edges.
The sinking will be May 28th at noon, when 10 scuba divers ride inside the jet as it is pulled into the lake to its resting place at the bottom of the training facility.
We will be filming with underwater video cameras as it goes in and will update this event as it happens.

All electronics need to be turned off as well! Sounds great I don't want to miss it.

I'm heading out there Sunday only that weekend.
One more dive spot for Dive Around Texas.
:)
