It was extremely flat, vis had to be more than 50', turqoise in some areas, 47degrees cold, lots of lings and rockfish. One of the lings chased a torpedo ray for a couple of seconds, which was a pleasant surprise to see.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, so gorgeous :) The light coming through the kelp was just amazing. Sadly, I was freezing, so I decided to play it safe and skip a second dive. Starting to rethink the drysuit thing; 47ish seems to be the limit of my comfort zone if I'm hitting 40-50 feet and don't have a hot tub waiting for me.

Toying around with the camera at the end of the dive:

Saw the top side view, one of these days with those conditions, a night dive would be awesome!

Nice video.

Get a drysuit & some thick undies. I splurged on some Bare super hiloft and was very comfortable at Lobos Monday---at 44F! Still working out where to put the extra 5lbs I need to compensate for all that thinsulate though...gonna go look at some steel tanks later this morning.
