I'm a Fish!
Anyone tried this yet? Any comments?

From Microsoft:
"Acrylic" is the codename for an innovative illustration, painting and graphics tool that provides exciting creative capabilities for designers working in print, web, video, and interactive media.
From what I can gather it's positioned somewhere between Photoshop and Illustrator. I just downloaded the beta here:

http://www.microsoft.com/products/expression/

Evidently it used to be called Expression - I'm guessing this is another Microsoft buy what you can't build scenario. So far it's crashed about 3 times - but it is a Beta version. The Beta expires in Oct. 2005.

XP Only with some average system requirements.

Let's just say I'm not removing Photoshop/Illustrator anytime soon....

It is a step up from the supplied programs with Windows, ie: Paint, Yuck!
If it is going to be an included ap with future MS$ releases, I'm all for it. Note, "Included," implying no cost. Otherwise I still think PhotoShop and
PhotoImpact are better programs.
I've yet to get a survey from MS$ on this beta to view my opinions.

Tried it for 2 minutes before dumping it. I'm amazed that MS would let something this rough be released--even as a beta. If, by some miracle, they managed to get all the problems fixed, it's still going to be an inferior product to the likes of ACDSee, Gimp, and PS Elements.
