Just got back from a week at Scuba Club Cozumel.

We have stayed at SCC many times, but not since right after Wilma. Food wasn't as good as I remembered. Ate once at Prima's and once at Kinta based on recommendations on this board. Fabulous food at good prices!

Weather held out for us. One or two rain squalls, but mostly still and sunny. Did 18 dives over 6 days. A couple with us from Calgary dove 25 times over 6 days! Life was much better than when we dove right after Wilma. Unusual things we saw: an octopus wrapped tightly around a large fish; a large marlin on a twilight dive. Lots of big green eels, a huge parrot fish. Many turtles and nurse sharks.

Our DM speared a few lionfish and fed them to lobsters, eels, and toadfish. Fun to watch.

Nice to read that the DMs are spearing and feeding. Always liked that idea best.

Thanks for sharing, what dive site were you on for the twilight dive when you saw the marlin?

It's about time the DM's started using spears on the lionfish, that should be island-wide policy, much less injuries that way.

It was at Punta Tunich. Huge moray eels and one huge parrot fish too.
