Do sharks ever mate with sharks from different species than themselves?? For example could a tiger shark and a bull shark mate?? What would it look like??? Does it happen?? How do sharks tell their species from apart from one another??

I don't think so....altho we have some sort of half whale dolphin thing at Sea-life park.

The branches of the genetic tree are far enough apart that inter-species breeding is unlikely. Having Breeds of dogs that intermingle, are a completly different scenario than having species of sharks that interbreed. It just dosn't happen in nature, or there would be no "purebred" species to continue the reproductive process. You can breed a Horse with a Donkey and get a mule, but the resultant cross is sterile. :42:

I suppose that'd be called a "bugger shark" :D

Crosses of tigers and lions do exist - they're called "ligers" and "tigons".

Of course Lygers exist... Napoleon Dynamite doesn't make that stuff up!
