I've heard a boat is a hole in the water you throw your money into, but yikes!!

My dad just said the same EXACT thing. We were talking about how we have to completely replace an engine in our boat(as mentioned before) which will cost over $18,500!!!! And thats just for the engine, not including labor, dry dock time and miscellaneous items!!!!

I am picking up a new boat tomorrow, a Maxum this time.

Very nice, congrats! With a boat like that do you have to toss your gear onto the boat from the water? Or can you just climb in?

I can climb up to the swim step with no problem with gear on. The swim step is pretty big as well, so it should be pretty comfortable. I'll hopefully know more on that tomorrow.
