After Chan-hom went on to hit China hard, now this one is running a parallel course to hit Japan hard.

It looks like a sure thing for Kyushu island and nearby, arriving as a Cat-3 or 4! Okinawa will get some effect of course. Even the Philippines is still prepared for it, but then it has enhanced monsoons there - and flooding is always the biggest risk.

There's another one east of Wake Island. Too soon to tell whether it will die out at sea. This is a very strange year, to say the least. Typhoon season usually doesn't start till October, this year they are all through the summer.
