Nasa has been doing training in underwater environments for years, it's the closest thing to the weightlessness and vacuum of space that remains here on earth. Still really cool and those pics rocked.

I was recently priviledged information that
NASA has provided funding for Dr. Brian Lapointes work at HBOI.

I think its Oceanic Water testing, and involves volunteer divers and academia.
