Hello All,

I was hoping to take a trip to the panhandle this summer, but it looks like I'll be going to the Orlando area instead. (June 12 - June 19)

Hubby and I will be visiting the theme parks every other day, but hope to do some diving on our off days. We'll have a rental car.

Any advice on the best dives within a 1 - 2 hr drive of Disney?

Thanks!
Trish

As a "warm water, pretty fish" kind of diver, I would recommend Jupiter or West Palm though they will probably be more like 2 - 2 1/2 hrs away. Everyone has their favorite dive charters but I would recommend Jupiter Dive Charters (www.jupiterdivecharters.com) in Jupiter and Jim Abernethy's Scuba Adventures (www.scuba-adventures.com) in West Palm.

Well, your with 1.5 hours of both coasts... Really I reccomend you head east, pretty reefs, diving closer to shore, and generally better viz. I'd say Ft. Pierce and south are your best bet.

This will point you in the right direction. http://www.florida-scuba.com/

We did the Epcot Living Seas dive several years ago and had a great time. Can't beat the visability! I'd like to do it again, but my husband said once is enough. (But just maybe...)

Thanks,
Trish
