Hi:

I just purchased a used Faber LP tank. The numbers/markings on the tank are:

Faber-Italy M8303 04/1284 130 17L 06 04. TC-3AAM-184/DOT 3AA 2400 REE86

Can one of you more experienced folk help me to identify the age, size, type etc. of this tank?

thanks in advance,

Sounds like a LP 130 / 17 liter

Yeah, looks like a LP130 to me.

I agree and it looks like it was last hydro'd 06/04. My tank stays at the dive shop between dives (a perk for living in Florida--I dive nearly every weekend), so I can't compare the numbers. Take it to your local dive shop and get them to inspect it before you use it. They will be able to explain all of the markings for you.

Thanks.....that's what I thought. The owner said it was a 100, so I assumed it was either a 95 or 108. I was suprised to see it was a 130. I'm not sure I really want a 130. It was a good price.

I guess I could just re-sell and recoup if don't like it after I try it out.

Thanks for the help.

I've never even seen an LP130, that would be a massive tank. The LP121's are the biggest I know of. What is the height and diameter of it?

It's a Faber LP108.

Come'on guys, you know there's no such thing as an LP130.
2640psi = 182 bar
17L = 0.6cf internal volume

0.6 * 182 = ~109cf.

Besides, that's what the official Faber tank spec chart says as well for a 2640psi 17L cylinder. :wink:

I vote for Batman.

OK...now I'm confused as to what size tank I actually bought. I'm hoing it is the lp 108. I'll take a measurement tonight and post.
