I'm having some trouble choosing a new reg, my choices are apeks 200, scubapro s600, and atomic(b2 or z1). I got a lot of opinions from the retailers and I still can't make up my mind =(

They're all great regs and I doubt you'd be unhappy with any of them.

I have an Apeks ATX200 and ATX50, both are great, reliable regs that breathe well at any depth I've had them at (so far down to about 100')

If you do a search you'll find a great many threads that compare the merits of all those regs.

Good luck

as said they are al great regs. I'd side with the scuba pro over the apex as have both and prefer the scubapro (mk25 first stage with an R390 second stage), but that really is just personal preference.

See which is easier to get serviced in your local area and i'd go with that.

any of the regs will give you more performance than you'll ever need.

Yep, the fact is they are all great regs. Start seeing who has the best warranty and ask the owner of the shop for 2 or 3 years worth of free maintenance on it if you buy it through them. Have you thought about a Sherwood or Genesis? Sherwood was making valves 100 yrs. ago on different machinery. So they probably know what they're doing.

Dont feel bad about not knowing which one to choose.

Its not an easy decision to make.

Personally I went with the ATX 50.

Basically the same as the ATX200, but a
whole lot less expensive.

Well, there you go, excellent decission. Hope you have many good years of diving.

I would suggest to choose the regulator
that you can get serviced the easiest
in your area

Luckily I can get any of those you named
as well as Zeagle serviced in my area

Personally the Scubapro tended to force
air into my mouth, the Apeks breathed easily
but gave me a little of that cottonmouth,
the Atomic Z1 was also really good but
they don't pay for parts.....in the end
I chose the ATX50 and am glad I did....
