1. anyone know a software program which would allow me to build a trip CD or DVD which could incorporate an intermix of both the mini movies from my Olympus camera (.mov file type) along with jpeg photos in a seemless presentation?
Thanks - Mr. Pat

What computer platform? Mac or PC? Lots of software packages out there... I use an Intel Mac and use IMovie since it's really easy and came with my computer.. Here is a quick google search for some PC software for about 100 bucks:

Video Editing Software Review 2009 - TopTenREVIEWS

Your PC may have come with video editing software... but not sure what PC you have!

Here is a video on Movie Maker which probably came with your computer:

Adobe's Premiere Elements can do that. You have to also download and install Quicktime and then authorize the .mov filetype on their website. Authorizing is free.

They're selling a bundle of Premiere Elements 7 and Photoshop Elements 7 on their website for $99 til Wednesday. https://store1.adobe.com/cfusion/st...shopPremElements&distributionMethod=FULL&nr=0

If you can convert the .movs to .avi's or .mpg's Vegas Movie Studio can do the same thing for $50. Either program has transitions, titles, menus and other special effects also.

Either program has a free trial download also. To convert the .mov files, try one of the AVS4You products. They watermark the output unless you pay them though. http://www.avs4you.com/downloads.aspx?dl=no
But you could work through the process with one/both editors and see if it will work for you without it costing you anything.

I don't think Movie Maker imports .mov files - at least not the version I have (5.1?). I get an error when I try:
The file C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\My Documents\My Videos\Underwater Videos\Mantas_being_cleaned.mov is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker.
