Yep,,,They were surplus research vessels that were used for a lot of oil and gas exploration in the Gulf of Mexico. There is a 'Sister' vessel to her that will be sunk later called the Dolphin that is being cleaned now and will be sunk also here....What was she? Oilfield Suport Vessel?
Judging by the nearby Mighty "O",, 2 weeks til the first shark & Goliath find it, 8 weeks till peach fuzz on the unpainted bare steel, and 3 yrs for the 1'st sponges. Then it's up to mother nature with storms, hurricanes, runoff, & most importantly currents to bring in nutrients.how long will it take to be covered with life, corals, fish, crustaceans?
