For those wanting to see the "parts changing" piece of servicing a diaphragm regulator, Dive Gear Express has just posted five new videos on servicing their D6 line of regulators.

More are coming soon for their "FIRST" flow-by piston, and for their XTRA balanced piston 1st stage/adjustable barrel second stage.

They're also on the D6 Service Kit page of their website.

That guy talks just like you. On your recommendation I did buy a DGX Gears D6 2nd as a safe second and it's just dandy. Small, lightweight, and capable.

Great video, thanks for sharing. Any chance of someone putting a copy in the VDH manuals drop box?

Very well done Robert!

Awesome videos Rob! Wish quality vids like these existed for other regs.

I'd love something like this for Atomics...just to learn a new technique maybe, and make sure I'm not doing something foolish inadvertently. Well done Rob

Their unbalanced flow-by piston videos are now up.
The DGX FIRST is very much like a Mk2 and is intended for similar duty or as a stage reg.

For parts changers that want to see how a balanced piston is done, or a G260-style second stage with a micro-adjust, there are four more videos out on the DGX YouTube channel covering their XTRA regs.
Lots of subtle repair tips buried there, but beware of DIY from a video alone! I have really mixed feelings about this stuff being out there.

There are a couple more videos in the works on their excellent value version of the integrated Inflator/Octo a la Air2 or SS1. The new BCI is a pretty slick integrated reg with a huge exhaust valve that's tunable down to 1" cracking effort! Not that that's a spec value, lol! Manual evidently still being written, but it's easy to service! It has a locking high-flow coupling similar to Oceanic or Poseidon, so reattachment in the water is a piece of cake.
Pretty impressive, especially for the price.
