Hello all. I started jumping in the water in the 90s; did a lot of shore diving in SoFla and the Keys. Life got in the way which took me away from the sport - it happens - but now I'm back to getting under the water. In January I spent some time in the Keys and made some dives and I'm hooked (again). I also jump out of airplanes and now I plan to be scuba diving whenever the wind doesn't allow skydiving.

Welcome from a fellow North Texan! If you ever want to dive locally, hit me up. I'm almost always game to go blow bubbles.

Cool. Where do you dive "locally"? In the Denton area?

I just realized I totally read this post wrong. I read as "Where do you LIVE locally?" Oops!

I normally dive at Scuba Ranch in Terrell, but there's also Athens Scuba Park in Athens and a few people dive Wheeler Branch reservoir in Glen Rose. I haven't made any dives out there yet, as there are no facilities out there to get tank refills, etc. But I've recent grown my tank collection to 4 AL80's so I could make a full day of diving out there at this point. Just waiting on the weather to warm up. I think I've heard that you can make deep dives out there to about 80-85 ft. And there are a few things sunk out there for training purposes, like a school bus, etc. Once it warms up I may head out there one weekend to check it out. We like to hike Dinosaur Valley anyway. And I keep saying I'm going to make a dive in the Blue Hole out there.
