Charles,

At 4'6" tall a small plate is needed.

With a 7mm suit a SS plate is a benefit.

I'll estimate a full 7mm suit on a person his size to be about 12-14 lbs positive.

He could use a very small wing, based on his current requirements, but I'll going to suggest our LCD 20 for a couple reasons.

It's shorter wing, and that's a good thing with short bottles like a 63. Much less likely to trap the wing under the bottom of the tank when he sits down.

The 20 will also provide a little more margin for when he grows a bit, and starts to wear a larger more buoyant suit.

The small plate will work until he's maybe 5'3" or 5'4"
