Hi, I came across this site when looking for info on the best BCD reg set for the first time buyer. I'm AOW and nitrox qualified (PADI in the red Sea). Looking at Mares / Scbapro, Any good advice for a recreational diver to warm waters diving to 30+ meters.

If you are very consistent with your maintenance both are good. I prefer the Scubapro. My buddy who owns a shop and deals Mares, says his is comparable. My thing is about getting gear that is going to last beyond the warranty.

I have had gear from various vendors over the years - but I still use my older gear. Scubapro, with proper and regular maintenance, will stay with you until the end.
