Thanks for the advice everyone. I will definitely be checking out Lake Travis.
Zinc, I have been thinking the same thing in the back of my mind about experience and getting an AOW cert. I would like to get in at least 15 lake dives, sign up for AOW after that, then go from there. Not completely sure yet. Still trying to get a handle on everything and learn as much as possible.
Also, ZzzKing, LOL about driving distance. I do 26-hour drives to LA at least four times a year, so OKC to Corpus is child's play.
But I did live in the Sweetwater/Abilene area for a while.
