Hi. Will finally try out lake diving in a couple of week and I have a question about my reg. When diving with a Mk 25, is the turret supposed to be up or down? I've only dove (?sp) with rented regs that situated in a straight line. Also, is this plastic cage thingy necessary or can I just snip it off? Thanks. :)

But you will almost always find them with the turret down. Makes for less knots on the back of the head and better hose routing.

Thanks for the info. Finally got to try it out with the whole set-up and I see what you meant. I could see myself getting quite a few bumps with my big noggin.

I mount it turret up, becouse I have mk 16 also mounted and hoses from mk25 go just over the mk16.
You can remove plastic, but since I have it turret up, I didn't remove it. It is a little protection.
