nitrox and Apeks ATX50

[Gator Diver]

For those of you ATX50 owners out there, what
modifications does the ATX50 need before
Nitrox use. My owners manual says
the 50 cannot be used with Nitrox but
my LDS said all Apeks regs are Nitrox worthy
without modifications. ....so confused I am.....thanks.

The Apeks will be just fine for nitrox use, as long as it's O2 clean. Tech divers use the DS4 first stage for Nitrox use and have been for years.

You wouldn't want to run anything higher than 40% unless it was O2 cleaned though.
