Well, that was the best thread ever. The best orators were all there in all their glory.
Imagine. Kim, Andy, Bill, KOmpressor (that socialist troublemaker!)...I was really feeling the love and enjoying all the points made. Ya'll made my weekend! LAPD RonDawg, sorta from Honolulu (I think) livin' in the big city WHAT a PERSPECTIVE you all bring! man..I live for these posts. Think for a minute about the diversity of the people posting and really loving talking to each other--all friends. Choosing this instead of tv, being engaged in the world.
Hey, I just want to thank you all, especially Reefraff, for being an original thinker! (I agree with what you said)
Anyway, I had my best post ever all written up about a kid from Ethiopia, named Borbor (the Marines call him BoBo) who right this very minute is down in Lousiana preparing to fight for America and the opportunities he is now afforded.
People are dying in jet wheel wells to get here. That must mean something.

Oh BTW I'm not Hawaiian, but when I visit the locals often mistake me for one of them and will sometimes spout off the pidgin. Occasionally I'll get the kama'aina discounts without even asking

Kompressor and Kim said most of what I might have said in that thread. I might have added a thing or two, but mostly agreed with what they said.

RonDawg gave me an interesting insight into how the other side sees this issue.

I expected more from Andy on this one.

Mislav, if you agreed with them, I need to reconsider some of my positions.

Kompressor loves to stir us up, he was probably snowed in and having a whale steak, and thought about us.

anyway...I did not sense any animosity from anybody. My thing is, apathetic people really are the big enemy. It doesn't really matter WHAT you think about the hotel issue, as long as you care and want justice. Instead of watching Love Boat and letting your mind go into the coma most of the world seems to be in.
