Scubapro called it an "Inlet Protector" in 1994, and an Inlet Protector in 2015.
Some companies just never learn...

Lol, @tursiops and @lexvil , somebody has too much time on their hands...
:troll: myself included

Well, rats. I guess I stand corrected. I hate when that happens, but I like being correct more than I dislike being corrected.

Thanks rsingler, tursiops, and lexvil.

Aqua Lung has the ACD feature on the first stage. Basically, when unpressurized, it closes and seals off the 1st stage but not sure how good that is at actually keeping water out. I guess you’d need an o-ring to really keep it out....

If you put any force on the inlet, it recedes a bit into the first stage, thereby opening the ACD - the ACD plate doesn't move.

For all you Yokels.

My brother puts a spare #14 O-ring on the Dust cap tether. It looks like this:
He got the idea from the Poseidon and Apeks DIN to Yoke converters.

'Thought it was worth sharing...

Apeks call it a "Protective Cap" protection against what, I've no idea.

ScubaPro "Inlet Protector"

I'm getting worried about all this protection.

Conshelf "Dust Cap" (All AL it seems)
