DiverKat - I thought the same thing about Sunday night but thought it would probably be early enough to still head to the plaza later. We can always pick another day if people want to get together.

Sunday was just a suggestion to start the discussion.....pretty much any evening works for us

This is only our 2nd trip to Coz so we need some experienced visitors to show us the hidden "gems" on the island.
 
Cozumel is currently experiencing an El Norte, and the harbour has been closed since Thursday morning, including 40+ foot boats, and it doesn't look like it's getting better soon. The only op diving is Aldora on the east side, where it is flat enough to waterski.

Memo reports the Harbour Master is under a lot of pressure to lift the ban because everyone is losing money. But it really is pretty wild here -- sitting on the beach is virtually impossible at times.

Bosco & company Nov. 21- 30 The Prospect will complete her open water cert. and join us under the water instead of on the boat. Staying @ El Cid.

The port reopened today to all boats. It's still a little rough out there but the POOL IS OPEN!

Looks like current conditions will maintain for next few days. Winds are still a little strong. Bring something to keep you warm on the boat.

So far so good - we dived (my buddy is sanspeur) with Scuba Du on Saturday & Papa Hog's yesterday (today & Thursday too) Tuesday & Wednesday we're doing the cavern course with German from Yucatech. 4 dives so far & it's been marvelous, Only complaint.....the coffee at El Cozumeleno is awful!
