Come dive wrecks that have never been dove or rarely explored! Last years exploratory dives were a blast so we are doing it again this year on April 17, 18, 24, 25. Each trip will be a two tank dive to a mix of zones for $75.00. Spots are limited. Must have a minimun of a advanced diver cert. 2010 Schedule / Sign-Up

Thanks for the question, we have the advanced restriction for the exploratory dives for two reason; 1) because most of the sites we will visit for these dives we don't know the condition of the wrecks and 2) because most of the exploratory dives will take place in the zone 3 region which is deeper then the open water depth limit.

With that said, if you are not advanced you could always sign up to dive on a zone 1 or zone 2 day. We will be visiting zone 1 and 2 regularly through out the summer and we do not require advanced for those dives. Here is a link to Our 2010 Schedule
 
What Can You See Diving in Ocean City, MD?
Maryland is home to many military and civilian ship wrecks as well as many artificial reef site. Each site is blooming with various species of life and growth formations. On any dive you may run across Flounder, Sea Bass, Tautog (aka Black Fish), Striped Bass, Spade Fish, Sheepshead, Sea Trout, Seahorses, Stargazers, Pufferfish, Amberjack, Black Drum, Colorful Butterfly Fish, Atlantic Triggerfish, Northern (Clawed) Lobster, Dolphin, Sea Turtles, Leatherback Turtles, Whales, Rays, Sharks and you can even find lost antique artifacts. How Is the Visibility?
The visibility off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland can vary from excellent to low, at ranges from 100 ft to 4 ft or less. The visibility has many factors including weather, currents and time of year. We use a network of granny lines for your descend and ascend to ensure no matter what the visibly is, you will have a safe and enjoyable dive adventure.

Will The Water be Cold?
The water temperature like the visibility off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland can vary depending on the currents and time of year. We suggest that all divers wear at least a 7mm wetsuit with hood and gloves to ensure a comfortable dive.

The average water temperatures, by month, according to NOAA are:

April - 46º F
May - 55º F
June - 66º F
July - 73º F
August - 75º F
September - 71º F
October - 64º F
November - 57º F
