I have been offered a VERY good deal on a new, still in deep sleep mode, Oceanic Geo. It is not the new 2.0 model. Sticker on back indicates a 03/08 manufacture date. Full warranty. LDS owner is the best when servicing any warranty.

I have read the manual and it seems to meet my needs. Is there any reason I should opt for the newer version? It would probably cost a few extra bucks.
