The Cat Island Oceanic White Tips are about as close to a "Bucket List Trip" as I have. Any tips on the logistics of getting there and where to stay?

Gorgeous ! O-white tips are definitely on my bucket list. GoPro gives such great footage these days
Hoag - just make your way to Nassau and you make your Cat Island connection from there. The island is a LOT bigger than most people might realize, so do a little diving on TripAdvisor as a starting point for your trip.
You will most likely want at least a couple of days in Nassau on both ends to make your connections seamless...plus I like Nassau a lot.
