When looking for octopus I keep my eyes open for small piles of old shells, the leftovers from their meals. They are frequently close by. Sometimes they are using a shell as a door to their home. I have seen this several times. A spot my wife and I have seen them fairly often is diving in a northerly direction from Front Porch dive site at Eden Beach resort. We seen a pair mating there in about 3 meters depth.
