DRILL BABY, DRILL! Let the eco nuts who want to stop the drilling move to Saudi Arabia and protest there. I'm sick of my dollars going to fund the wealth of people that hate us and treat women like dirt. Drilling rigs will only help the environment by providing more fish habitats. Not to mention the GOOD PAYING JOBS that the communist president promised and those that will be created to support the entire industry. I'm sending out a part now for use in the drilling industry. I'd like to see us send out thousands of them and maybe we could call back the people that got laid off here yesterday! And thanks to the changelings we no longer live in a democracy. Just look at Queen Nancy and the crap she is pulling.

Than stop using so much of their product. By the way good paying jobs are not only in the drilling and oil industry.

Humans are destructive that is a fact. But please don't tell me more birds/animals are killed by wind mills and wind farms than the environment has been destroyed by the thirst for oil...

Use less conserve more. Not drill more.

Animals are destructive as well....but many refuse to see that. BTW, I *do* care about the environment/animals, but I want a BALANCED approach, not a knee-jerk reaction that hurts us badly and keeps us dependent on foreign oil.

BTW, get off the hyperbole of "thirst for oil". Our entire society, the WORLD society, is based, ground, and pillared on oil. Period, end of story.

Yes we need to look for alternatives, but gas for our vehicles is only a fraction of what we use petroleum for.

You are right about our need for petroleum. My job and quality of life depends on it too. However, don't you think we can be more efficient with our use of it. Maybe like use it to power more public transportation?

Not really, I think that public transportation is doing well by operating with LNG or CNG. School buses should operate the same way..

True, there are jobs that pay well outside of Oil and Gas, do they make a six figure income without a high school diploma as they do in Oil and Gas? I don't know myself, but I would say most construction type jobs pay pretty well don't they?

If you think Obama even approaches being a "socialist" (let alone a communist) due to his luke-warm espousing of more socialized policies, you know very little about either system. In the United States you have the choice of the center-right party or the far right party. Compared to the politics of the rest of the developed world, Obama is a far cry from a leftist, either socially or economically.

in communism, all the hospitals belong the the state, there are no privately practicing doctors, and insurance isn't needed because health care is paid for by the state

Cuba is already preparing to drill offshore and China is right with them. So I think I am more worried of these entities drilling off our shores than our own country. It is time we utilize our own resources and finally be the superpower we once were. How much more of our country and resources are we going to allow to be given away? The banks, the automakers, property rights, natural resources....can we see a pattern yet?
