I have a Canon S1/S with an Intova ISS2000 flash. My problem is that I still get Green or Blue tinted pictures. Am I not turning the power up enough or am I not using the correct setting on my camera, I usually use the night time setting.

Hard to tell without a picture or any info. I suspect you are taking long distance photos. My S1 failed a year ago. Any photo I had that was 10 feet from the subject had a lot of blue. With the flash, custom setting the white balance might cause red photos.

I suspect the night-time settings is not helping. I would use the custom settings and manually set the white balance, I can't remember what settings I used & I used available light.

I would scan the Canon Corner for S1 threads. Maybe someone has a thread that covers your issue.

Good luck - Tom
