Both Mares Axis MR12 and Scubapro's MK16 R190 are well regarded Regs and available at around $140 see www.diveinn.com . Of course your purchase will be influenced by what conditions you intend to dive in. cold/warm etc. I use an Axis MR12 when travelling it has a balanced first stage, gives a very easy supply of air at depth (some people find it too easy) and is pretty light.

Hi cokeman:

Click on this link http://scubadiving.com/gear/budgetregs/review.shtml it will take you to an area of Radale’s Scuba Diving gear buyers guide. At this link you will find a recent review of the Genesis Yukon regulator, as well as reviews for several other budget regulators. Its good reading.

Dive Safe ……………Arduous

In my opinion, for what you have described, your choice would be perfect. Good luck!
