Imagine dives in a beautiful fresh water spring and in the Gulf of Mexico all as part of your spring break in Panama City, Florida
The plan is for everyone to have fun and for current students to practice repetitive dive planning while diving in progressively exciting situations. On the first afternoon we will meet at Vortex spring. In fresh water with great visibility divers can explore the cavern and several swim throughs. We will spend the second day at St. Andrews State Park where a large stone Jetty harbors an amazing variety of sea life. This is salt water diving from the beach. Upstate scuba will host a cookout at the beach park during some surface time. When divers are not diving they can simply enjoy the beach park location. On our final day we board a boat (or boats) and head out to the gulf for two dives on a combination of bridge spans and ship wrecks sunken as part of the State of Floridas artificial reef program. The depths at these locations range from 35 to around 70 feet and the variety of inhabitants is unpredictable and spectacular.
The diving will be half days each. The rest of the time you may spend enjoying the local scenery and tourist stops which made the Panama City area famous.
Cost is $375.00/pp. Cost includes:
Diving
Air Fills
Instructional Staff
Hotel for two nights /double occupancy (Saturday and Sunday March 15-16, 2014)
