Pancreatitis and diving?

I have a friend that has both the acute and chronic forms of this diease. In most cases would one still be able to dive with pancreatitis? He would obviously check with his doctor, but I would like to know in general.

You might want to consider asking a Moderator to move this thread to the Dive Medicine forum, where the MDs more regularly seem to hang out.

I thought there was a dive medicine forum, but I couldn't find it. I think I have been on the computer to long today. I'll just post it there myself. Thanks.
