I think Key Largo is still in the "no pilot car" zone.

I'm really curious.... could you give us details on the boat and tow vehicle. I live in Palm Beach County and cringe every time I have the boat in tow and hop on I-95.... I could not imagine pulling a boat of size from Detroit!

You know there is a very big county marina a few miles west of FL City for launching. As mentioned you might now want to leave truck and trailer there but there are secure storage yards in FL City and you taxi service to take you back to the marina. The Marina is just south of Biscayne National Park. I believe it is Homestead Bayfront Park. I just googled it and South Dade Outfitters is listed as a business there. They can probably help you with info.
Next month we are going down for the rest of the winter in our RV and I am looking forward to the diving. Enjoy your trip and good luck. Sounds like fun!
